The Accelerati Series

A good trilogy, following the main character through many adventures relating to fictional inventions of Nikola Tesla. The first book is well-written, and all the characters make significant growth as their flaws and insecurities come out, and are resolved, through the help of the inventions. The second and third books, in my opinion, slightly degraded, becoming harder to follow and understand. As the plot thickens, you find the author racing from plot point to plot point, sometimes entirely leaving the reader behind. The conclusion of the series, has a satisfying ending that leaves the main characters happy, the main villain redeemed, and his most odious henchman in a justly deserved situation that is very unpleasant.

Violence/Disturbing images: Minimum. A person was frozen, but she survived. Several people are psychologically tortured through an instrument that makes an unbearably awful noise, but the scene was short. Some people might find the villain's demise disturbing, since he instantly collapses into dust and bones, but that's about it.

Sensuality/Nudity: A few kisses. Characters have crushes on other characters. At one point a girl sees a boy in his boxers, but nothing sensual about it. A mention of the quarterback having a crush on the running back.

Profanity: 2 H**l, 1 D**n, 1 G** in first book; 1 Oh my G** in second book; In third book, 1 Oh my G**, but the character who says it is "A girl who generally despises people who say Oh my..."

Morality: Small. A few lessons of truthfulness and perseverance. Not much else though.

Other: None

Overall, a pretty good series. A bit confusing at times and rushed, but fun and entertaining nonetheless.

Overall Recommendation: Ages 14+

God Bless
